10 things!

Hi all! I hope everyone's having a great weekend!
We had a fun time putting together our 10 thing's this week, so let's get to it!

anisa's 5 things!

A sketch I got at ComicCon, done for me by artist Raphael Albuquerque. He is an amazing artist!

Alexander McQueen's Sarabande (Spring/Summer 2007)
One of our good friend's Iliana went to New York and brought us postcards. As I am a huge fan of postcards and Alexander McQueen I was more than thrilled to receive this. (I'm also extremely jealous that she was able to see the exhibit! ;) )

Anyone living in an area were it get's pretty hot (as in 90°+ on a daily basis) should own a pair of shorts. They are a huge staple in my closet.
Here are pairs that I'm loving at the moment:

J Brand: Cut Off Short
The shorts come in 5 different colors but I think the 'Bright Purple' is the best.

Free People: 'Babydoll' Shorts
Tibi: Pleat-front Silk Shorts
I love, love, love the color of these shorts!

K Slim Basic Denim by KR3W

Drizzle Shorts in Navy by Altamont

As usual, we've linked our pictures, either to the store we found them at, or to the website we found them at, so if you want anymore information on anything, click the pictures!

i'm just bad news, bad news, bad news

These are the last of our Grand Canyon looks, we're actually not in the Grand Canyon here, we were in Zion National Park.
(I'm surprised we had so many different looks.)

Anyway, the pictures gave us a reprieve from taking look posts which we welcomed (I think we're getting lazy or something…) But we'll be back to taking look pictures soon, I promise!

The title of our post is from Rilo Kiley's "Portions for Foxes."
(Last one from the Grand Canyon c.d.!)
Have a happy Friday!!

A few days ago arnab and I took a short trip down south to San Diego because it was ComicCon and it was an absolute blast!
We saw many of our favorite comic book writers and authors, which made the whole convention that much more fantastic.
But ComicCon isn't just for us comic loving folk.
The Transformers were there! And there was a lot Star Wars related toys and statues (including this awesome R2-D2 and C-3PO
which I wanted to take a picture with, but so did everyone else, the line was too long!)
The cast of Teen Wolf did a signing (which excited arnab to no end) and loads of other stuff.

Here I am with Bumblebee (of the Transformers):

He was one of the many Lego statues that were seen all through the main exhibition hall. Some more are below:

Lego Optimus Prime:

Lego Batman!:

Lego Boba Fett!

Lego Captain Jack Sparrow!:

Some folks from Monty Python and a Hobbit (there in the middle!):

A male Wonder Women:

A female Martian Manhunter:
(The last two in costumes were in a group of men and women who dressed as superheroes of the opposite sex. Awesome!)

A Bat mobile:

And our friendly neighborhood Spiderman:

All in all we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. If you're ever thinking about going it definitely something worth while.
We look forward to being there next year!

i find you stunning but you are running me down...

I love trees. They are one of my favorite things about nature. I think it's because they're so similar and so different all at once. The Grand Canyon was a treat because there were all sorts of trees all around.

anisa is wearing a BB Dakota jacket, Los Angeles Angels MLB shirt, Juicy Couture shorts, and Converse boots

(Another one from the Grand Canyon c.d. )
Have a happy Tuesday!!

inspiration: if i were a boy!

If I were a boy:

If I were a boy this would be my "to get" list!
Though I have noticed that besides the pants (which would be ill-fitting) and the shoes (which would never come in my size) I could buy and wear all these things and share with arnab!
(I really really really want both of those sunglasses!!!)
What an inspired idea!!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

it's been such a lovely day, let's not let it end this way

L.A. is not known for its forests or its parks even, so we definitely had fun playing with our outfit pictures. :)

arnab's top is the one which was featured in this post. It's very airy and soft and it's always nice wearing something you've made, in my opinion.

I love my clutch! I bought it at one of arnab and my favorite antique/thrift stores. The man who owns the store is the nicest fellow and is always giving us fabulous deals. This one, I think, is my best purchase there yet!

arnab is wearing self made top, Levi's 511 jeans, and Kenneth Cole boots
anisa is wearing an Alternative Apparel shirt, Zara skirt, vintage belt, vintage clutch, and Clarks flats

The title of our post is Devotchka's "Til the End of Time"
(It's another song from the Grand Canyon c.d. and I love Little Miss Sunshine!!)
Have a happy Friday!!  :)
